Role Description

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our client’s team. If you’re a commercially minded, proactive, and resilient business development professional who enjoys building pipeline through consistent outreach and relationship-building, this could be the opportunity for you. You’ll play a crucial role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities through multi-channel outbound activity, driving revenue growth and expanding our client’s prospect base. This position offers significant personal and professional growth within a fast-paced, performance-driven, and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound prospecting – Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through high-volume outbound activity across email, LinkedIn, phone, and other relevant channels.
  • Multi-channel outreach – Execute structured outreach sequences using a mix of cold calling, LinkedIn engagement, email campaigns, and follow-ups.
  • Lead generation – Identify, research, and engage target accounts and decision-makers aligned with our client’s ideal customer profile.
  • Prospect qualification – Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria and progress suitable opportunities to the next stage of the sales process.
  • LinkedIn prospecting – Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to source relevant contacts, map accounts, and personalise outreach.
  • CRM management – Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity, lead status, and pipeline updates within the CRM.
  • Messaging optimisation – Test and refine outreach messaging, call approaches, and sequencing strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Market intelligence – Gather insights on prospects, competitors, and industry trends to support smarter targeting and positioning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or outbound sales roles.
  • Proven experience working in an individual contributor business development role with direct ownership of pipeline generation.
  • Strong background in multi-channel outbound outreach, including cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and cold calling.
  • Confidence and willingness to carry out regular cold calls as a core part of the role.
  • Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting and account research.
  • Hands-on experience using core online BDR tools such as CRM platforms (for example HubSpot or Salesforce), sales engagement tools (for example Apollo, Outreach, or Salesloft), and contact/data sourcing tools (for example ZoomInfo, Lusha, or Cognism).
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to personalise messaging effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify decision-makers, qualify opportunities, and maintain a consistent outbound cadence.
  • Highly organised with strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail in pipeline and CRM management.
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment with accountability for outreach and opportunity generation results.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience using additional prospecting and automation tools such as Lemlist, Reply.io, Instantly, Clay, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with account-based outreach strategies and structured outbound playbooks.
  • Exposure to working with international markets and cross-border sales outreach.
