Opportunity Overview

Our client is a leading ecommerce company specialising in energy-efficient heating solutions, with ambitious growth plans to expand their market share. They are looking for a PPC Manager to join their team and report directly to the Head of Digital Performance. This role will focus on managing large-scale, high-budget PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Facebook Ads to drive growth and optimise digital marketing performance.

The successful candidate will have experience in ecommerce, managing high-budget campaigns, and a strong data-driven, testing mentality to improve overall performance. You will work closely with the Head of Digital Performance to execute strategy and deliver against ambitious business goals.

Job Description

As a PPC Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and optimisation of paid search and paid social campaigns across multiple platforms. You will lead efforts to maximise return on ad spend (ROAS), ensure campaigns are data-driven, and continually run experiments to improve performance. Working alongside the Head of Digital Performance, you will play a key role in scaling the company's digital marketing efforts in line with their growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage PPC campaigns: Oversee paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and paid social campaigns on Facebook Ads
  • Strategy and execution: Work alongside the Head of Digital Performance to develop and implement a comprehensive PPC strategy that aligns with the company’s growth goals.
  • Data-driven optimisation: Analyse campaign performance using data-driven insights, and make ongoing optimisations to maximise ROI and drive traffic, sales, and conversions.
  • A/B testing: Regularly run A/B tests across creatives, ad copy, bidding strategies, and audiences to refine campaigns and improve results.
  • Reporting and analysis: Provide detailed reporting on campaign performance, using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, and other reporting platforms to monitor KPIs.
  • Collaborative efforts: Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure PPC efforts are aligned with overall marketing goals, including SEO, email marketing, and content.
  • Stay updated: Keep up with the latest trends and updates in PPC platforms and digital advertising to ensure campaigns are innovative and competitive.

Minimum Qualifications

  • +5 years' experience in managing PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Facebook Ads.
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce and experience optimising campaigns for online sales and growth.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, GA4, Looker, and other analytics platforms.
  • Experience in A/B testing and other experimentation methods to continually improve campaign performance.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a strategic mindset, while also contributing to the broader digital marketing strategy.
  • Experience working in the energy or sustainability sectors.
  • Knowledge of additional digital advertising platforms or programmatic advertising.
  • Familiarity with attribution tools such as Northbeam for deeper campaign insights.
